‘Cirkus’ is an upcoming Indian comedy film in Hindi. It is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Rohit Shetty’s Pictures, T-Series and Reliance Entertainment. This is a comedy movie in Hindi. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma play the lead roles. Ranveer Singh plays a double role in this film. This movie is officially adapted from (Angoor) 1982 and is based on Shakespeare’s play ‘The Comedy of Errors’.

It also features Deepika Padukone and Ajay Devgan in a special appearance. This movie was edited by Bunty Nagi. And the music in this is by Devi Sri Prasad. The main shooting of this film started on November 17, 2020 in Mumbai. It has been described as a period comedy set in the 1960s. The film was initially scheduled to hit theaters on December 31, 2021. However, due to the delay in shooting, the theatrical release was postponed to December 23, 2022.

Cirkus marks the reunion of Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh after Simmba, as the film is a comedy of errors. This results in mistaken identity due to the dual roles of the two characters in the film. Rohit and his team decided to place the film in an era where there were no cell phones and all other modern gadgets. After considering the time frame, they were eventually reduced to zero as the era to be recreated in the Cirkus in 1967.
